Program participants can display their patriotism by purchasing a banner to be displayed on utility poles in Ashland to honor a family member who has served, or is currently serving in any branch of the the U.S. military.

Banners will be displayed from Memorial Day to Veterans Day each year. Banners will be guaranteed three seasons and then returned to the purchaser. Banners are stored by the city between seasons. 

To be included, you will need a photograph of the veteran or service member, his/her name, branch of the military they served in, and the era of their service.

ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION PROCESS

• 1. The U.S. Military veteran or service member being honored must be an honorably discharged veteran, or an honorably serving active duty service member, and related to an Ashland or Ashland-Greenwood School District resident.
• 2. DEADLINE: March 15, 2025. A completed Application Form must be submitted, along with full payment by mail (postmarked no later than the 15th) to the Ashland Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 5, Ashland NE 68003. Forms can also be dropped off at the NAPA store at 1437 Silver St. in Ashland, 
• 3. If you want to enroll multiple Heroes, each banner will require a separate Application Form with payment.
• 4. Cost for each banner is $125, which includes the banner, installation materials, and maintenance.
• Enrollment will be limited to a "first-come, first-served" basis. Banners will be displayed for at least three seasons.
